The outpatient procedure is performed with minimal pain and discomfort in less than an hour. A local anesthetic is first used to numb the treatment area. Depending on your specific treatment, fat deposits may then be removed or repositioned, muscles may be tightened, or loose skin removed. Your incisions are then closed using removable sutures or skin adhesives.
You will need to have someone with you after surgery to drive you home.

Eyelid Surgery Recovery
During your eyelid surgery consultation, we will discuss at length everything you need to know to speed up your recovery and ensure optimal results.
In the days immediately following surgery, your eyes will be swollen and a bit sensitive. We’ll provide you with specific instructions about cleaning your eyes and icing to help minimize swelling and bruising. Pain or discomfort after surgery should be minimal and can be managed with medication.
We’ll have you back to remove your sutures a couple days to a week later and will continue monitoring your progress throughout the recovery period. You can expect to see aesthetic improvement after your swelling has gone down (within a week or so), with results improving as you heal.
